BCD 4 Gunshow Find Help

Hello all! Brand new to the forum, new-ish to Mausers. Recently picked up a BCD 4 at a local gunshow, and would like some more experienced eyes on it for some feedback. The seller claimed it came from an estate sale, but I always take those claims with a grain of salt.

After I bought it I compared it to examples in the Kriegsmodell book. Some features line up (subcontractor markings, stock proofs, no receiver serial, etc.) but a few things seem off. The rear barrel band having its numbers stamped on the bottom, and the absence of serial numbers normally present for Mid to late 1944 variations on the safety, bolt shroud and the cocking piece were the first things I noticed.

I've uploaded pictures in the link above, my apologies for some of the quality as iPhones are not the best at focusing it seems. I can provide more pictures if need be.

Hmm. That's no good. What's a possible explanation? Do the serial number stampings look alright to you?

Thank you for your response!
