Barrel Replacement Or ?

Without going into a long story I'm now the owner of a 1937 S/243 K98k Mauser with a bulged barrel.
Can anyone direct me to someone or a gunsmith with experience changing out the barrel on a K98k.
I now have $475 in this rifle and I'm torn between parting it out or throwing more money at it to make it a good shooter ??

If it were my project I would look on this forum for a genuine ww2 replacement barrel and exchange the bulged barrel. The folks on this forum can direct you to what to look for. There are guys here who can do the work.
Good luck.

Chuck

If it is bulged near the muzzle, counter bore it. If it s collectable, and you will not be shooting it, why mess with it?
