I picked this rifle up at SOS. Sometimes you can still find some decent rifles for a decent price which is a nice combo at that show when you are fortunate enough to find it. Its all matching and in nice original carried condition. The stock has some shrapnel damage on the right side by the stock waffs. Couple interesting notes on the rifle is that the band spring is only waffed e/26 and feathers serial number sterilization which comes and goes in MB production 1939-1941. Also this rifle seems to have an FN produced bolt, but instead of the e/140 inspection that is common, this bolt seems to waffed WaA103? I have a FN High Power pistol that’s WaA103 waffed, I just don’t think that I have ever seen bolt from FN waffed WaA103…..

A lovely example Jory! Very nice find :) I wonder how short the Kriegsmarine shipment was for the 'e' block of AR 41 rifles are cause yours in Heer unless it ended up somehow being diverted.

Really sweet piece. We were recently discussing those e/103 accepted bits. Only ever seen bolts so accepted on MB and followers on MB and occasionally MO.

I love it and it's pleasing to hear you were able to get it for a nice price. Congrats!

It was on a table…. A friend of mine actually found it initially. Alot of times more than one set of eyes is good, especially at a show that size with all the forum guys hunting😎
I think I'd have to agree. Saw a few reports that there weren't any good K98k, but it seems there were a few at least. Most likely if fairly priced and legit you'd need to grab it right away lest it not be there when you return. At least that looks to be the case.

Nice find Jory!!
After seeing your proof mark I went and checked mine. It’s in the “i” block #4454…Bolt is E/26..but the magazine follower looks like “WaA-103”…hard to photograph.

I think lots of e/103 parts noted// Some turn up in 45 assy. rifles. As far as the earlier 613 I have yet to see any. F/n's production was utilized quite quickly. I also picked up an ar41 with battle damage. I'll have to dig it out and compare.
I haven't had time to post it..

Great rifle Jory. Love the damage and that stock colour!! The earlier waa103 is neat too. I’ve had that in a port contract gun.

Thanks Loewe! That first sheet gives a good idea of the time frame for the different acceptance.
