Anyone remember the svjXE code K98k?

This was not my rifle and the photo is from the GB offer I saved. I want to say 2006 or 07.
It was offered for $250.00 start with $30.00 shipping. I contacted the guy to ask what it was being I was very new to K98ks.
He said he did not know but a guy emailed him offering $250.00 if it included shipping.
He turned down the offer and the gun ended up selling for over $20,000.00
He contacted me happy as could be (he paid $100.00 if I remember correctly) joking he had no idea how to ship something that valuable. I suggested he get on a plane and hand deliver it (joking FFL and all)
I wished I saved other pictures as it seemed like the stock was sporterized, no bands or hand guard.

I forget what forum I asked about this but remember being told there were only 6 known examples of this K98k code which was what Styer changed from BNZ to the end of the war the very last week.

Is anyone familiar with these and do you know about their current status, how many, pictures etc

I was going to post this on the thread about rare K98ks but it was not mine and hoped someone could update us all on this rarest K98k code

I don’t track them, but there are more known now, a couple of excellent original examples have surfaced since then. I believe roughly a dozen or more are known now. Only a 36 Bsw is more scarce if you want to talk purely codes. Search for old threads here and the picture reference too for some of the examples from the last few years.
