antique store scope covers

found these at a local antique store yesterday. ran them by Dave and brought them home along with a decent sling today. funny, i have lived here all my life and never knew about this store 45 mins away. rather than 99% girl stuff, this place was full of militaria. anyway after reading here i thought these pix might be of interest

i cant believe these caps and the ones posted in other threads here are from 42 or erlier, they all look unissued, or at least real nice. anyone have any better info on the mfr dates? i did discuss this w Dave a bit

bad news is these dont fit my Kahles well, they are a bit big. sounds like ones tht fit the Kahles are even more scarce.

Yes the ones that fit Kahles are almost tan in color. They also fit best over the arctic Sun Shade.

All I ever find in Antique stores is creepy dolls from 50's and beat to sh*t furniture.

Gene, the scopes all had different diameters. As the others had said Kahles had special ones. The scopes which additionally carried the arctic sunshield even require one with a slighly larger diameter. Looking again at your picture it seems the scope covers is really oversize for your Kahles.

Those are nice covers Gene. You’ll probably find a 100 sets of black ones before you find one set of the tan colored covers for CAD/Kahles H4X60 Covers. These tan covers have a WaA ink stamp on the inside of the leather cup.

IMO the Tan/Kahles Scope Covers are near impossible to find theres only one other type that is likely as hard or harder to come by which is the SSDC Dow Covers for the Dow scope Adjustable Rear Focus . In fact I have never found or even seen a set of Kahles Lens Covers that were Proof Marked .
If someone has such a set maybe they would share pics of them .

Hello Dave. I got these covers a year or so ago. They were on a Kahles H4X60 Scope. They are ink stamped for WaA. They fit over the Arctic Sun Shade.

There is a set of the black covers like the OP that fit BMJ Single Claw that sort of fit the CAD with Arctic Sun Shade. Most of the black covers are suppose to fit BEK and BMJ with sunshade with the exception of BMJ SC. The BMJ SC covers seem to be more rare.
