VoPo k43. Serial #4856 (waiting on a letter suffix)
K43 qve45
Aye Mag
All forces matched (stamped and electo pencil)
Repro mount/Scope
Typical ruby polished/shellac stock.

Most interesting is it is a double Refurb. Big “X” and Little “x”. Likely two Sunbursts as well. This is the third double XX gun to be recorded in roughly one year.

This rifle is in Canada, many VOPO’s came here. Attached a link, just so people can see pics and pricing. Pricing is optimistic, but he does take CC. Hopefully it sells as it would double the “assessment” value of my collection...lol

Poor picture

I can see the X's but not the sunburst??

lately I am seeing sellers posted reject proofs as Sunburst?? like you said lots of East German K/G-43's went to Kanada and some to Sarco circa 1990's

6k for this rifle?? seems high

Price does seem optimistic.
VoPo's use to go for $2500-3500 CDN just a year ago. Repro mount/optic $500 USD on Ebay.
I am very interested in seeing how quickly it sells.

I saw that listing. IMO, the stock looks like a repo. I'd price it closer to 4K, but G43s are rare enough so it all depends on what people will spend. I got mine at $2850, but the stock had been refinished.

The initial picture gave me the same thought. Once I zoomed it, I could tell it was an original VoPo re-finished stock. Orange/Red sanded and polished shellac on a sanded stock, this seems to be the style on 90%+ of VoPo G/K43's I've handled in Canada. The price is optimistic....Marstar had a very similar one and I wouldn't be surprised if he is selling this one for Marstar or if he did some type of trade. The owner of TradeEx and I will need to discuss over a drink sometime once COVID has calmed down.

And it SOLD.....nice thing about being a business and being able to take Credit Cards.

It doesn't surprise me, G43/K43 is rare in Canada, so they come up for sale people buy them quickly. Sometimes without much sense mind you, there is one up for auction that is closing in 30 minutes with a current price of... $4,700 + 19% buyers premium + taxes. Auction says it is so good of condition it looks like it was never issued... except for the big X on the receiver. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice rifle, but not $5,800 nice.
