But WILL the chatter marks on the stock really drive collectors into a fit of frenzy? Because I was not so driven.

I don't have much experience with Kriegsmodell rifles and it reminds me to keep always my eyes open... I think this offer could fool many people, thank you Eric for your good job!

I sold this rifle to Epid Artifacts a few months ago for about $1800 I think. Full disclosure on the rifles past of course. They sold it to another dealer in the Houston area who sold or traded to Scotty at Tulsa I think. Sure has appreciated in value.

Have notified Scott.

Don't waste your time....I went out of my way to tell him of the turd of a "matching" K43 sniper he was selling.. He basically said I was wrong as I didn't go into enough detail.

I didn't waste my time any further.. I wasn't about to send 100 screen shots of "good" k43 bolt carriers.

I'm done...

Methinks it sounds like this seller is moving from “honest joe” to at the very least a “knowing and willing accomplice” so far as faked rifles sales go.....

it came down to he's smarter than everyone else.... I told him I'm sorry I wasted my time.. Some poor shelp bought it that's all he cares about.

this k98 is at least restored not Humped up...

I wish the sheep would stop buying from them... only way to stop this nonsense.

That being said.. if we really wanted to stop this we could create a consortium of authors, researchers, and collectors that provided certifications for a specific value. It would only work if we had enough published authors behind it though.

Hell yes !!!!! We get a Portable XRF spectrometer, a little VooDoo magic and a letter of authenticity ..... :googlie

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG ????????

We already have 1,000 more investigative tools than collectors had 20 years ago. The problem is that many people are lazy, and simply do not seek readily available information that already exists, before putting hard earned money down on questionable pieces.

I do not know a single collector that would KNOWINGLY steer another person the wrong way, if asked for his opinion, on an artifact.
