I'd like to run a headspace check (field gauge only) on the WWII era 8mm rifles (K98, VZ24, WZ.29, etc) in my collection I have but I've been reading about the difference in the 19 to 20 degree headspace gauges. Anyone know where I can buy, rent, borrow, etc. a correct 20 degree field headspace gauge and not the more commonly see 19 degree one? I know Forester used to sell one but it doesn't look like the no longer do!

I don't know your technical background to delve into the subject, but for your intended purpose, a field gauge of any make will satisfactorily accomplish the task.

Kind of an old post to respond to. However, the angle difference is not in different chambers or different gauges. The difference is people confuse the chamber drawing and cartridge drawing. The angle is different between the two. The datum line of the chamber drawing is what headspace gauges are made to.
You really only need a FIELD gauge and any of the major brands will work.
