43 CRS Tropical Frog and Belt

As requested I am posting this. I thought it was a 42 CRS, but I've had it in storage over 10 years and it is actually a 43 CRS. Which makes me doubt it was actually DAK associated since Afrika Corps ceased to exist in early 1943. I want to note there was sand in the grips when I received this, I believe the frog and belt have always been together as this came from a vet. The buckle is maker marked 1942. The blade his polished like it has seen a fair about of dirt or sand, I notice this pattern of wear because the same thing happens to my tools I use when metal detecting. Shown below is a 44 CRS for comparison. Probably the gnarliest piece in my collection but one of my favorites. First aid kit I believe was brought back by my great Uncle Frank.

Thanks for checking it out.

Nice set. Looks good together. I collect buckles, but do not have the room for belts. I may have to do something about that.
Thanks for sharing.

Looks like nice matching piece, even the first picture looks like someone sharpened it on right side lightly.

Really nice rig luftpirate. Nicely composed photos as well. The maker of your tropical frog is Friedrich Offermann & Söhne, Bensberg in Westfalia. Are there any ink stamps on the belt?

Thanks, There are two ink stamps on the end of the belt, what looks like a large 0 and maybe a C. I think it must be size. No other ink stamps or stamps on the belt tab.

Thanks for looking. Agreed, sounds like a size stamp. Maker stamps are generally found on the catch end. Size stamps on the tongue.
