This example is in pretty crazy condition for a rifle that saw the whole war. It must have rode the war out in an office or something. I have a few very high condition pieces but two are 1944 k98’s and the others are either Standard Modell’s or Banner K’s….. late war rifles you can find and come across from time to time….. you just don’t see early rifles in this condition. I have come to find out for myself that in this game of German collectibles that if you treat other collectors well and offer up good items at reasonable prices from time to time, good things come around your way. This rifle is a case in point for me
. I have had for a little while a sweet 1939 marked sling that I think compliments this rifle well. This will definitely be a rifle that rides with me until I disperse my collection sometime way down the road. If you want to see something not photoed….. please ask and I will provide….
