42 1939 9052 n block Walnut Heer Minty

This example is in pretty crazy condition for a rifle that saw the whole war. It must have rode the war out in an office or something. I have a few very high condition pieces but two are 1944 k98’s and the others are either Standard Modell’s or Banner K’s….. late war rifles you can find and come across from time to time….. you just don’t see early rifles in this condition. I have come to find out for myself that in this game of German collectibles that if you treat other collectors well and offer up good items at reasonable prices from time to time, good things come around your way. This rifle is a case in point for me😎. I have had for a little while a sweet 1939 marked sling that I think compliments this rifle well. This will definitely be a rifle that rides with me until I disperse my collection sometime way down the road. If you want to see something not photoed….. please ask and I will provide….

I'm always amazed at how fresh the stamps look in walnut. A wonderful example for sure Jory, but I was a bit surprised by the surface grinder marks on the trigger guard compared to the fine metal finishes of the other pieces. Thanks for sharing this.

I once had a 42 1939 bolt only mismatch in this exact condition. I should have kept it as I sold it far too cheap on the forum.

I’ve waited about 4 years now for a matching example. Congrats on your find.

I was once told that my early minty '39 in walnut, wasn't really tough to find...lol. I guess things have changed!
