Found this 1943 BYF on gunbroker and wanted some opinions on it

I think that my first question would be in regard to the stock. I would want to see some numbers in the barrel channel and on the bottom side of the handguard. For a $3k asking price, you deserve some more and better-quality photos IMO. There is also a DOT 43 listed that has 174 photos attached to the listing!! That is what your listing should look like.

My other question is centered around the upper and lower barrel bands. I know that at some point production was switched from the machined bands to the stamped bands that this rifle shows, but I don't know when that transition occurred. The picture reference thread that is stickied in this forum is very useful in showing correct examples to compare against.

It's against the forum rules to post links of live auctions. Save the photos of the rifle, then post those here by themselves.

Fyi though, the starting bid is already overpriced for that rifle.
