1943 bcd

Such a gorgeous example! Congrats :) in regards to BCD rifles, I hope to add one just like this one to my collection when I can. Again congrats on such a fine a example. I wish my local gunshops would call me even just to share info and possibly appraisal on and a example.

A wonderful mix of parts, pieces and subcontractors in really nice condition. Congrats on getting a sweet gun.

Congrats on picking up a nice one! That's a gorgeous rifle, a nice mix of subcontractor parts and an interesting repair. I've never seen anything like that before, and the awesome pictures certainly help to show it, thanks for sharing!

I really like them, (bcds) tho they’re rather different, being ‘parts rifles’ from the get go. Their essential qualities come from the sum of their parts, much more than the other, more complete manufacturers. As a ‘party’ enterprise, it must have been a much different place to work than the complete manufacturers, like MO, Sauer etc…….

Agreed.

Now that’s interesting, I’ve not seen one quite like that, repaired bnz45 stocks, yeah, filler in Brünn yeah, toe repairs to prewar guns yep, but not like this. That’s a nice phone call to get!

For those that looked and/or commented, I thank you very much!
nice example, & kudos for the photo shoot! by coincidence a bcd 43 was my 1st K98k, & 2 more have followed me home since. (g, x & cc blocks) the 1st one appears to have a cleaned stock, but also has an interesting stock repair for a duffle cut done in a manner I hadn’t seen before or shown here on the forum. the photos are off line, so it’ll take a minute to gather them & post up. Like the repair shown here, it’s invisible from the outside.
