1941 98K Impressive performance.

Come visit. I would be happy to. Anyway was a cool experience. Rifle performed way better than I expected.
Very nice shooting man. I do understand the doubts from others since the accuracy standard for the 98K was ~4 MOA at the factory. What ammo were you shooting?

Thanks man. Just to know, I have nothing to prove and just shoot for fun and was impressed by how well the rifle worked for me. I used my rangefinder, adjusted sights and hit target. Thought that was really cool and kind of amazing. Maybe the shooting angel, or God himself, put his hand on my shoulder and divinely guided my rifle so that I hit the target. lol. ha anyway. Thanks. I used factory ammo PPU FMJ BT 198Gr

500 yards on a 2.5 inch steel plate with irons? I'm gonna have to witness that one. I have a couple of Garands that make me look like I know what I'm doing when shooting a 10 inch steel plate at 175 yards with irons, and I'd be hard pressed to see that at 500 yards especially with irons. A 2.5" steel plate at 500 yards? Again, I'm gonna have to witness that one. Now if your name is Jerry Miculek then I'll take your word for it...

I hate to say it too, but I’m 23 and I likely could not see a 2.5” round at 500 yard even it was fluorescent yellow. My best shooting ever was 4/5 shots with modern barrel BYF43 on 12” bright orange steel at 400 yard in prone. I still had trouble seeing that.

OP - send a video if you get the chance. I want to believe and I want to be amazed.

All good. It happens to the best of us. I misread things all the time. I will now go out try to hit the 2.5 inch target at 1000 yards to prove a point (lol). No seriously I love my K98K rifle. I am so grateful to the group members who helped me get it.
