1939 k98k, any info appreciated

This was my great grandfather's gun. I know it has less interest than most as it was not kept original. He handmade a new stock and added a scope, and hunted all over the western US with it. It does have all matching numbers though. I'm sure it's value modified is nowhere near what an original would be, but I'm not concerned with that as I do not intend to ever sell it, and his woodwork carries immeasurable sentimental value to me personally. I am just curious from markings where it was made, and any other info on it the markings may give away. I appreciate any info you guys have.

Well its receiver would show 243 1939,this is the code for Mauser Werke Borsigwalde.In original condition this would be a desirable and valuable K98k.can you locate the original stock.
