It is an uncommon code but nowhere near as rare as some other codes that exist (S/27G, swjXE, svwMB, etc.). I definitely like what I see so far as it looks like a sweet rifle! If it says that file size is too large, use a photo resizer or crop the images to shrink down the file size. If using an iPhone, you can try this as well.

Hot dog! That's a looker for sure. Wish I could get me one of those congrats on picking that example up! If it's untouched it would be a welcomed addition to anyone's collection.

Very nice! Stamps on wood look well defined and the bluing in good shape. Nice to see as mine is a 40 Borsigwalde.

Quick word btw, if you have the messenger app from Facebook you can use the camera it has to take pics and they will be automatically adjusted and be correctly sized to post here. Limit per post is 15 pics and be sure you have a title or it won't upload.

yes not rare.. these do fall into a range where the S/ was dropped so there are two distinct variants of the 1938 243 . Mauser Berlin at this point was probably 2nd or third highest in production. It has more to do with survival.

It looks to be a nice closet rifle..
