looking for some insight into this gun I know J.P. Sauer & Sohn Suhl made it but as for most of the other markings I have no idea what they mean. I am sorry for bad lighting and bad quality pics I'll get better ones up soon hopefully, thanks in advance for any information! fist picture is a mistake! that is the bayonet.

Cool low serial number! 29 e is your SN and block suffix. The eagles are referred to as Weimar eagles, which were used prior to Nazi eagles. These are proof marks. Mod 98 just means model 98.

It has 214 with the Wehrmacht eagle with marked all over it, but on the stock its WaA214. what does this marking indicate. everything is marked 29e, except the bolt and safety they are instead marked 4668 and there is a C on one part of the bolt.

Waffenamt 214 is an inspection stamp used by Sauer from I believe 35-38. The H on the butt under the one eagle stand for Heer, the German army. It sounds like a nice bolt mismatch, common of bring back rifles.

What does the block suffix represent? so my serial number is 29 but what is the E for, thanks for helping me out by the way!

The lower case ‘e’ is the block suffix. This is the basically the period of the year the rifle was produced. Serial numbers would go from 1-10000 with no suffix, then begin again, but with a letter suffix. So, 1a-10000a, then 1b-10000b, and so on.

It's not a "e" block, it's a lower case "L", serial number "29 l". The Sauer & Sohn suffix letters are sometimes difficult to read.

I minor understatement Stephan! If you do a search on this site of 'Fraktur' you'll find many times this happened. I think Loewe said "every Fraktur/Sutterlin chart you find is slightly different." I'd agree with that.

Ah yes, you’re right! Similar to the e but more “swoopy” lol. Here’s something I found in an old post by Mrfarb on Sauer fonts:
