So is it reversible, or a new extractor, or both a head and a extractor?
11 was Posen, work was done by armorer "K"Can anyone shed any information on the butt plate? 11 over K at the top, and P/cipher and U over/under the lower screw.

That's correct, the depot work was often identified on the buttplate for imperial rifles. This isn't universal, but it's common to find. The depots were identified by number. 1 through 11 are documented and locations identified, but 12 and up are not conclusively known. So it saw a rework or repair during its German life?

The muzzle cover was a brass and steel one specific to this model. It resembled some of the South American mauser covers, but is larger to account for the barrel shroud. They are often unit marked, but not always. What did the G88 use for a muzzle cover?
t
there is czechoslovak G88 bolt replacement, serialed 8984, delivered to Turkey 1926. Unit marking is for 6.Reserve Inf.Regiment, 8.company , weapon nr.63.
