DOW LSR Complete Scope & Mount Set

Picked this one up since it was complete and looked to be in really great shape. Nice having the base and rubber eyecup (even if it has a slight edge tear). The optics are just the slightest bit cloudy/discolored (for lack of a better term since the still are very clear) and the white paint on the elevation dial numbers is worn off on most of the numbers but otherwise it is in fantastic condition. Hopefully these pictures are decent enough and tell the story.

Have to thank Dave so much for the help and guidance on this one. Now to try to find the right rifle to put it on... LOL.

Enjoy....

My favorite scopes by far. Very nice pick up, such nice condition especially the paint on the elevation dial!

Thanks for posting, this should also be in the LSR sticky thread.

Jeff

Nice scope HT. In the V block even. Those rubber eye cups like that are an added bonus as well. You could put a little white crayon in the elevation dial if you wanted. Either way looks nice.

Glad to see You got the set its in excellent condition . As You mentioned now to find You a Rifle , or better Yet the Matching Rifle , anything is possible in the computer age !!!!!!!!

I was wondering if the Base had the 1 Proof , could not see it in auction pics but here it is . Usually there in vertical position not horizontal like here .

Definitely won’t do that. Unfinished 3 hole rifles are worth more left alone and I wouldn’t want to ruin a piece of history.

… surprisingly coming from third party. Maybe I have overseen. Anyway, thank you very much. Examples in v-block are comparably scarce.

A friend made me aware that the pictures would suggest the serial has been stamped with different size digits. I am not questioning it being original, but would you please be able to measure them if it just looks like this in the pictures or if they used different size stamps? Thanks!

Hello,
I have LSR mount with serial number just 10 digits from yours. It was found after war in trough in Czech Republic. Unfortunately previous owner unprofessionally modified the scope... He removed all the numbers on the scope.

Just checked the serial number and after a dizzying few minutes of looking through a magnifier, all the numbers are the same size at 1.5mm height (maybe just a hair under).

Thank you for checking. Could it be that the 8 is lighter struck and therefore making it appear less high than the other digits?

I was referring to the serial on the mount and not the scope. Now I understand the confusion. Please check the serial on the MOUNT and not of the scope! Sorry, I did not mention to what I was referring.
