    Cracked Bolt?

Start here: How does the bolt carrier serial font details compare to the receiver serial font details? Hopefully that will answer your question.

    1944 K43 field manual

Wilhelm's estimate is on par with my own for that version (size). That's not to say you won't see them sell for substantially more at times and rarely will you see them less that 250, but ballpark 250 (+-) is typical in my experience for that version/size (two versions in that size). The early...

Was This WWII Rifle Better Than The M1 Garand? - Hickok45 Clips

Same. I find the tangent v notch to be most accurate for me, to include my .22 trainers. The peep sight on my M1 Garand(s), or peep sights in general, some say allow for faster target acquisition. There might be some truth to that and what I've heard from some, in regard to the sights, with the...

    WTK: Magazine Pouches

Not sure about the markings so I'll leave that confirmation to those that might have similarly marked examples. I have several of that type in varying details BUT none marked quite like those.

    AC44 Panel Cut

Super nice rifle and that stock is icing on that cake. I have an ac44 Q myself, also panel cut, reverse 45 w/ no hold open, phosphate galore, but it has a stock type that is contoured forward of the trigger guard. That stock  puts yours on the next level.

    WTK: G43 Metal Scope Can

This is one of the nicer repro cans. I have one as a representative piece. An original rig fits very well in these. If priced decently it might be worthwhile to pick it up. The newest ones on the market aren't even close.

    MP44/StG44 Accessories

A tough call on that one. Compare it to the ones (original vs repro) I previously posted in this thread. Yours stands a good chance since the details are far better on yours than the repro I posted but less in quality than the original I posted.

    ZF4 Scope & Mount Questions

Make sure the lever is in "lose" position, that the release is pushed in, and tap rearward on the mount there at the rail with a rubber mallet.

    ZF4 Scope & Mount Questions

As far as locking on the rail, assuming it slides on completely and it isn't tight enough you can remove the lever C clip, remove the lever, turn the screw so it will be tighter, and then re-install the lever so it will be snug/secure when tightened to the "fest" position. Do not over-tighten it...

I believe that's an Israeli K98k sight hood.

    G43 scope mount

Original mounts can cost almost as much as decent rifle which explains the popularity of the repro mounts. Of course most folks want a scope and mount on their G/K43 if it has a rail for it. Many of the repro mounts have clearance issues with the bolt carrier. Feel free to post a pic. Keep in...

Last mp44 block in Haenel factory in 1945

I have a matching 99XX y block so not too far from the end. Receiver is blue and is marked StG 44, trigger group is phosphate, and hand guard is bare steel.

    Rough Forged revision reprint

Might as well wait for the updated version since the RF copies are bringing a premium now.

    G41 issues?

I use modern commercial PPU (PRVI Partisan) 198 gr SP in both the G41s and G43s that I actually shoot. My G41 in particular runs flawlessly with the PPU ammo. I would never run surplus in either. I suggests you replace the recoil springs at the very least.

AC 44 G43 Russian Capture East German Rework

Nice rifle and a variant I'm yet to acquire. As a reference, one sold on Gbroker just yesterday at $4275.

    G/k 43 Zf4 scope position.

Original mounts, thus repro mounts as well, are/were not centered over the barrel, nor were most scoped US military rifles. You should be fine. The problem I've had with repro mounts is many times they are shorter than an original mounts which results in clearance issues with the travel of the...

    G.41 duv43 - odd receiver hole

My question is whether the inside of the cut is blued or bare steel? The images are so poorly focused plus the poor lighting makes it's hard to tell. If it's blued the same as the receiver then there are period possibilities that shouldn't be too quickly dismissed. If not, it was most likely...

    G.41 duv43 - odd receiver hole

Those are some fantastic milling marks. My Walther G41 is similar but not that cool.
