Not sure about the markings so I'll leave that confirmation to those that might have similarly marked examples. I have several of that type in varying details BUT none marked quite like those.

Super nice rifle and that stock is icing on that cake. I have an ac44 Q myself, also panel cut, reverse 45 w/ no hold open, phosphate galore, but it has a stock type that is contoured forward of the trigger guard. That stock :love: puts yours on the next level.

This is one of the nicer repro cans. I have one as a representative piece. An original rig fits very well in these. If priced decently it might be worthwhile to pick it up. The newest ones on the market aren't even close.

Make sure the lever is in "lose" position, that the release is pushed in, and tap rearward on the mount there at the rail with a rubber mallet.

As far as locking on the rail, assuming it slides on completely and it isn't tight enough you can remove the lever C clip, remove the lever, turn the screw so it will be tighter, and then re-install the lever so it will be snug/secure when tightened to the "fest" position. I have a matching 99XX y block so not too far from the end. Receiver is blue and is marked StG 44, trigger group is phosphate, and hand guard is bare steel.

Might as well wait for the updated version since the RF copies are bringing a premium now.

I use modern commercial PPU (PRVI Partisan) 198 gr SP in both the G41s and G43s that I actually shoot. My G41 in particular runs flawlessly with the PPU ammo. I would never run surplus in either. I suggests you replace the recoil springs at the very least.
