    ZF41 Study

https://www.rjmilitaria.com/zf41/ This site uses pictures from my website without my permission. But I really don’t care about that. The site is informative and very well made. What I care is that they still blindly accept the old faith “early scopes were made as ZF40 and then came ZF41”. They...

    ZF41 Study

The origin of ZF41 Here is my latest acquisition. It is the earliest example of ZF41 Type1. In fact, it is not ZF41, being made much earlier than its official introduction (14.7.1941). Of course, it is not marked “ZF40” neither, and is only marked “Z.F.”. This is the only type marked with...

ZF41 database Hello, I have decided to add rifle Serial# on the mount in the list of my database. Please understand this is only for study and not for finding a scope to make a matching set. I can not help anyone on that. http://zielfernrohr.b.la9.jp/ZF41database190105.pdf

Unmarked ZF41 Scope - Post War Assembled??

It is "kov" ZF41/1 scope. They are often without markings and calibration. My opinion is that they are post war manufacture. They are too different from other ZF41/1.

    ZF41 Study

Very nice early ddv! If the mount is original to the scope, it should have rifle serial number near the duv on the rear arm. If there is no number, the mount was not used with the scope during the war. This does not mean the mount is repro or not good, means the mount is original but not to the...

    "M" marking on ZF41

Hello I heard this modification (and the marking M applied) were done for French MAS automatic rifles in 1950s. I am thinking this is the correct answer.

    zf41 sniper scope case

The late scope (ZF41 type2 and ZF41/1) will not fit early can, since the lid of early can is a bit shorter than the late. From left; early, late, late(tan) Also, the lid hinge is different. From left; early, late And the late ones do not have the brush tube. I believe the brush was omitted in...

    ZF41 Study

Well, no idea. Ok, I believe it is a container for ZF41. So what does that mean? It means the photo proves the existence of K98k-Zf41 based on a K98k made earlier than 1940. Perhaps an ordnance work. Not only factory made ar, byf and duv from 1941 are genuine. Very interesting, isn’t it?

    ZF41 Study

What do you think? I have aquired a photo showing a group of fallschirmjaegers training in fatigue uniform. One has which I believe a container for ZF41. For comparison. One thing I am not sure is that all the K98k seems to be without front sight hood, which is too early for K98k-Zf41? If...

ZF41 can - repaint or original

No doubt, nice can. I see it is green-late type without inner tube for holding cleaning brush. Am I right?

    Odd SS Scope or Fake?

I believe the "SS" markings are total fantasy, but the similarity with ZF41 scopes on Czech Optikotechna scope is very interesting. Perhaps made soon after the war, before chainging their name to Meopta in 1946. Any more info on this scope? Or where are these photos from?

    ZF41 Study

Actually, the repro "Z.F.41" on the market are not ZF41 but ZF41/1 (copy of ZF41/1 lens system). They are well made but their length of ocular tube is 4mm longer than the originals.

Thank you for the info. My largest question is; Were the kov ZF41 really used by the Wehrmacht during the war? I have no data of kov with rifle serial# on the mount.

cnx ZF41 scope with duv mount

To avoid misunderstandings, this is “two piece rear rain shield”. The upper is a normal type, and the lower is a two piece. You can rotate the rear end to close the rectangular opening.
