The serial number was already in the importers records so ATF requires it to be a new SN. Easiest way is to add a prefix or suffix. On the 937B models it was PB for Portugal B model. on the 937As it's usually an A suffix but I have seen some with an A prefix.
Avoid if you can the auctions with the "VERY RARE" "ULTIMATE" "MINTY" "VERY UNCOMMON" "COLLECTORS HOLY GRAIL" in the title. It's almost a guarantee there's going to be a lot of BS and window dressing in the description. Sure enough, this guys font sizes and color choices would make a circus...
When Atlantic gets more of these in, I highly encourage y'all to grab one. I have no idea how they managed to sell them with all of the extras at that price but that's an amazing deal. To add to what Model said, $1500 is just because of these imports. Before this a 937A was $2500+ and usually in...
Gunbroker is infested with scammers. Avoid non rated sellers when possible UNLESS it's a dealer that takes cards. Mailed payments/paypal/any of that crap = you have no recourse and it's usually a scammer.

It aint much, but I've got a decent Portuguese contract k98k bayonet that needs a new home. Just as a way of saying thanks for letting a doofus like me be on here.
Bayonet pictured is the one being given away.

$750 would be fair for you and the seller.
Online it would bring more $800-1000 in my opinion.
You'll have a genuine eastern front(or at least taken by the Russians at wars end) rifle even if completely Ruskie refurbished/jumbled parts. Typical for an RC.
They are not the trash people once...
Went with the blued finish and darker wood this time since my T2 has light colored furniture.
I sent a Mas 36 bayonet with payment but Rick informed me(and other buyers) some bayonets came out purple during refinish and some(mine sadly was one) will need to be refinished and sent at a later...
