On that note about optics, (Beautiful rifle by the way, I would love a Zielsechs but I get the impression they're much rarer than the Zielvier). The one up for sale on Devizes is described to have a GECO 4x scope, but I haven't been able to find any reference to that type being manufactured by GECO.
Thanks AG,
Do you know if there are any other reputable service rifle dealers in the UK?
So far I've managed to identify a few that have decent offerings but I have no information as to their reputations.
Namely: Highwood Classic Arms, CG Firearms, Henry Krank, Pukka Bundhooks, and EFD Rifles...
Do you think they're decent quality reproductions from what you can see? For shootablity moreso than colectability (which I expect is negligible).
And as far as the price point goes?
Hi there,
I'll preface this by saying I'm not currently out to purchase a rifle, but I'm doing some research on Kar.98 rifles (Particularly ones fitted with optics) and reputable dealers in the U.K.
I'm seeking information about these rifles, their authenticity, what someone should pay for...
I'm not explicitly looking for a 7.62 Milsurp, this just came across me and I found it interesting.
I know it's not an authentic setup in the slightest, but it could be fun.
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm looking forward to the input.
There's a Gewehr 98M that I've come across that's been converted to 7.62 NATO and fitted with what appears to be a reproduction long side rail mount, I will post a link to it at the end of this...
I just had a read through the NRA handbook for CSR/PR, I'm completely stunned at how geared it is towards Lee Enfields. I've got nothing against the rifles, and I'd love to own a few one day when I can afford to have more than one rifle, but I would have thought they'd be more accommodating to...
I'm very open to suggestions and advice.
Currently I'm still figuring out what I'm looking for.
I know generally I'm interested in doing Civilian Service Rifle shooting or just some general full-bore target shooting. I know a rifle from the 40s is no match for the more modern rifles, so I...
Noted, and thank you for replying.
Certainly seems that the rifle is in good nick, and as long as there's nothing inherently dangerous about an RC I don't see an issue with it being one.
Judging by your experience the price may be warranted, I had suspected that the market in the UK would...
