"Woodwork" Dou 43 "i" Block - Matching Example

Felt the need to share this one as I took a chance on it from poor pictures and an uneducated auctioneer.

Hanging on the wall in a Dallas TX gun shop for over 50 years. All matching (havet taken the stock apart) Dou i block. I am having a little anxiety about taking the stock down, as it appears it's never been done. This would be one of the first rifles made in 1943 since they carried over the I block.

The stock. Is very sterile with only a B marked in the right sling cutout. Very few WaA stamps as well. This rifle seems very well built. A 1936 S/42 was it's "wall partner" I purchased it as well. It's for another post.

Nice rifle. Love the plum extractor on these DOU rifles. Why the anxiety about taking it out of the stock? It's a very simple process.

i thought I recognized this one, I asked about the 1936 S/42 they had and got additional pictures though they added them to the listing so it helped you more than it helped me. Congrats on your scores, glad it went to a forum member! Hoping I find another matching S/42 to finally get one, maybe one day...

This rifle looks mint!
The woodwork is unbelievable for an 43 ! I love to see that untouched ones are more liked than reworked ones.. ! Great!
