I acquired this one today from IMA. When their email list dropped and I saw this one I couldn’t buy it fast enough. I’ve personally seen three of these for sale period in the US counting this one. The three or four folks who collect 71-84s understand how rare WMO made rifles are. While Spandau and Amberg made examples are abundant, WMO examples are worthy of the title “Rare” with only 19,000 units made for Württemberg. Onto the rifle itself it is all matching down to the screws and the balance of parts bear crown “A” acceptance. The stock has a nice crisp Wurt cypher and other stamps. The only knock is the wrist has some old leaf decorations but given the rarity and overall condition I can overlook it. Buttplate has a unit marking for the 119th infantry regiment replacement battalion (as to be expected a Wurt unit). Overall bluing condition is superb for an antique arm.
