Went looking for another rifle

Saw a mismatched dou 44 at a local gun shop, typical sported with mismatched numbers in a cut down stock. 600 dollars. Mase an offer on it which was refused. Still had the itch for a rifle, so I went on gunpoker and looked around. Was mostly looking for a decent looking shooter, and found a dou 45That fit the bill, in both looks and budget. Probably should be able to pick it up around Christmas. So, here's the url: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1077159677
Have fun laughing at me throwing money away.

I know, right? I had gone on looking for anice Yugo rework, and they were listed for stupid prices. This one popped up and kooked interesting at least, ad ar a shooter price. Supposed to ship today. Looking forward to the discovery.

Dang, for 500 bucks. I’d of bought that in a heartbeat. I “kinda” rescued a reblued sporter earlier. Slapped on a yugo stock and was offered more than I thought it was worth.

Amazing what this stuff goes for now

Yeah, I know it's been goinked hard, but should have good bones. I'll know a lot more when it shows up. I do have a line on a post war Czech stock, and I do have an extra RC stock lying around. It'l be nice to have a project gun around.

Well, the firing proofs are fake on it - bolt is fake numbered, barrel isn’t original to it and neither is the stock. But yeah, for $500 a good rifle for keeping busy.

Wow! Seems today anything with a sniff of mauser bubba or not is worth serious cash. My friend never should have butchered that Type 99 back in 72 he paid $25 for. Not a 98 but still worth money these days.
