Hickok45 is here to learn a bit more about the K98k and pick up a nice example. He'll probably be doing a video on them. For guys not familiar, he does good work for the shooting hobby with his videos:

Welcome to the K98k forum Hickok45 !

It's nice you are a member of this great forum. I watch your channel and videos for about 5 years. Two months ago we was in Denmark for a 600 meter long range shooting and beside we was shooting pistol and shotguns. Two Danish soldiers was interested in my Winchester Defender and the Rossi Overland double barrel, they said they know the Rossi from Hickok45. We was talking about your channel and I could say, I bought the Rossi Overland just because I saw it in your videos.

You have many fans here in Europe and I wish we would have a man like you, who could fight with us against the crazy plans of the European Union. Right now we are fighting against this: European Commission strengthens control of firearms across the EU
Our gun laws are already very strict and n January 2016 they want to ban our semi-automatic guns and a lot of other things. Certainly it's just a question of time until they take away all of our legal guns and just criminals can keep their illegal guns.

Greetings from Germany,
Stephan

Outstanding! Welcome! I'm glad he has chosen to do his research here.

(It'll keep him from ending up with major egg on his face, like one of other high-profile gun-related Youtubers with his ridiculous "Mitchell's Mausers" video...)

Thanks!

Appreciate the welcome. I was just browsing around here trying to make sure I know the correct information to pass along on the all matching original finish BYF 43 I picked up in Tulsa. We might get to a video on it this week. I had to replace a broken ejector spring that I did not discover until I got it home and loaded it. It seems to be a great rifle.

Thanks,
Hickok45

I'm already looking forward to seeing a 2ltr explode and a few gongs ringing!

Be a man Hickok and ditch the slip on recoil pad when you shoot her.

Might want to pick up a bando of Turk ammo as well - it's old and has mild recoil[emoji6]

Oh yeah, byf 43, now we're talkin!! Looking forward to the video. Maybe we'll get to see you take a few shots from the John Deere, lol.

I have used a slip on pad for twenty years. I can shoot more ammo, even two hundred, in a day and get less soreness. Plus, if it get pain I often flinch and waste ammo while getting worse groups. Ammo is pricey these days.

Any chance for a link on the video?

Hickok45's "Russian Capture" Kar98 video was one of the first videos I ever watched when I first started getting into the Kar98. You do great videos without theatrics, they are a real credit to law-abiding gun owners!
