Added this one to the collection earlier in the week and I'm very happy with it!
It's a well used, but not abused 1915 Erfurt Kar 98. It is fully matching except for the handguard and rear sight spring. The handguard itself has a crack in it that looks like a repair was attempted many years ago. The rifle itself is also duffle cut.
There is a depot rework mark on the butt plate, for Küstrin I think?
There is a small piece of metal embedded in the side of the stock, which is pretty neat.
Overall this Kar 98 has just the right amount of use I wanted in an example, and it's my first Kar 98! I never really see these in good condition at shows or auctions, so I'm very happy to have this example.
