Updated pictures of my AX 41 K98k Mauser With Varnish Removed

I removed the varnish from the K98 last night and today, and she's officially finished. Thought you all might like to see some after pictures. I removed the varnish with denatured alcohol and then oiled the stock with my trusty lemon oil. I'm going to order some Ballistol and hit it with that a little later down the road when I clean her after some range time. I really appreciate all of the advice and help I received about this rifle. I didn't ever in a million years think I'd be lucky enough to own a K98 like this...

Well done. I'm surprised alcohol took it off like that. Must have been a very week and very old varnish. Hopefully it got it all out of the pores in the grain as well. You did good on that trade.
