Unusual Vis 35

Looking for information on this German-Occupation Radom Vis 35. Specifically, on the serial number area on the right side of frame. It appears to have been milled out. The serial number matches the rest of the gun, and is clearly not done stateside. Anyone seen this before?

Well, the waffenamts and features seem to be all correct for a first alphabet series pistol - but the font on the renumbering is completely wrong. I’d say someone found a different frame and renumbered it to match the rest of the parts.

Here’s another first series F serial number (from William York’s excellent book on the The VIS Radom):

And here’s a G serial with the number 5 in it:

You can see they don’t match your pistol at all.
