I bought this byf 43, Thinking it was cool, Its all matching, no duffle cut. Un dicked with. The story I was told, that this rifle came off a German half track right after the battle with the Germans. The vet took the K98 out of the rifle rack that it was in the haft track. You can see the marks in the wood about a inch above the butt plate where it was in the cup of the rack. And on the face of the butt plate, you can see the round rubber bumper mark, that when it was in the cup of the rack. And if you look at the hand guard you can see the dent from the upper part of the rack from being strapped in. I thought it was a cool story. And not made up. This is what the seller told me at the SOS, what the vet told him 20years ago. That is how long the seller had the rifle.
