Small bore references??

I have Speed's "Smallbores" book, and am aware that Simpson is working on something... Is there any other book that would be suitable/applicable on this subject?
I just picked up a Walther Sportsmodel, and can't find much on it.

Simson's book may never be finished... A member here and his brother are trying to wrap up a book solely on the dsm34.. It will be a gem.... cant wait.

It IS Simpson's book---on ALL German trainers, not just the DSM---that we are currently finishing, actually. I am sitting in the basement of Simpson Ltd. as I type this, doing the final assembly.

Sparse Materials

Ronnie, English materials are sparse, in German or not all encompassing. This location on the forum is a great digital source until work is published.

That's great news..I along with the rest... Brad included were tired of asking when Bob was going to finish the book. We who don't do books Im sure have no clue the amount of time and effort it takes to do a book such as this. It sounds like there is light @ the end of the tunnel.. I can see Ole Bob s. in the back making sure its done correctly... LOL.

What a wonderfull picture : people who are working for our passion, thanks a lot ! :hail::hail::hail::hail:

There is a tremendous amount of info on the Wather Sportmodell on this forum as well as Walther Forums (http://www.waltherforums.com/forum/walther-rifles/) and the Gunboards .22 caliber forum (http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?57-Michael-Jon-Littman-s-.22-Forum).

Who is that guy in the blue shirt who seems so involved in the action? Oh, forget it. It's Bob.

Hello Steve, For when you think would be the presentation of the book?

Ask me that question again in a week or two. I hope to have an estimated date by then. And thanks again to all who have helped make it possible.

Steve

The proof copies are now printed. If you are going to the Show of Shows this week, you can get a preview of the book. The book should print in April, if all goes as expected. You will not be disappointed, I assure you.

that's great news Steve. I wont be at the show but, I was able to view the binder copy the Bob carried around for years. I saw it @ the sos 3 or 4 years ago. I assume it will follow that same format ? Also, did you guys stop the work on your own dsm34 book ?

The book still uses the same format which Brad Simpson had laid out in the beginning, and it retains that appearance. The size has increased with added content.
Jim and I have put a lot of material into this; I am taking a break before tackling any further publishing work, but have some lined up (if I live long enough ) to get to them).

That is great news! I'll be at the show and look forward in having a look at the proof.

I agree with the others, looking forward to the book. Really want a more inclusive book of all German training rifles.
