I would like any help with buying the CORRECT sling for a "DOT 1944" markings,etc.

I'll look but pretty sure I don't have much for late war stuff. It would be just punishment anyway from you Amtrac'rs almost running me over on guard duty one night in Courthouse Bay back in 83'..lol.

I must apologize for the younger guy almost running you over. But your lucky, if it were the older tractor rats you would have been a spot on the road. lol

boy you opened up some memories,when you mentioned COURTHOUSE BAY,I'LL BET THAT CHANGED QUITE A BIT since I was there in 65 we used the old p-5

they did good in RVN.Were you in trace or just out there standing guard.
 
Was a 1371, Combat Engineer. Pulled guard duty having to wear the "chrome dome" over at the track shack at least twice a week. They were using the tracs back then that they are still using now, or at least they look the same from photos I see of todays Devil Dogs.
