Scope Mount

I bought this rifle last year, I've been lurking and trying educate myself but I've yet to see this scope mount. I would appreciate any information you guys have.

That's an odd one for sure. More pictures would help determine its originality. Are there any markings on the mount, even internally?

Sure, here is the mount on the rifle, then removed. My fear is this was done by a shade tree mechanic and they've screwed up the rifle heat treatment by welding on it.

LT, there are only two numbers and I'm guessing they're serial numbers. This is the disassembled scope mount.
