RW marking bottom rear sight base

Picked up a replacement rear sight base to replace one on a sporter that had its hand guard lip cut off. The one I removed was unmarked and I thought the replacement I found was as well. Once I cleaned all the oil and gunk off the replacement I found a RW marking on the bottom of the base. Any idea on whose mark that is?

I tried to get a picture it is sort of faint mark:

It’s a Mauser Oberndorf internal marking.

It denotes 'Werks Revision' (factory revision). Usually something out of the ordinary or a deviation of the print, an acceptance.

RW is an inspection marking - standing for Rudolf Weiss who was an inspector and employee for Mauser-Werke Oberndorf.

Who is Rudolf Weiss and did he actually have an inspector's stamping?
