Rough Forged revision reprint

It seems like the book was released yesterday! Is it a whole new book like how it was from HG->RF, or the same one with revisions? With the amount of flak it caught I'm not sure if I should sell my current copy while prices are up or just hold on to the one I have haha

I just looked on his site, doesn’t appear to be available yet, still says “currently unavailable” for rough forged. The book on the history of walther is available though!

I wanted to know the same, what was revised?

And, what to do with the older “Rough Forged”? It’s sorta like my York Radom book. It was in black and white, then a colored version came out. Sold my black and white version and bought the colored version.

I am going to hang on to my Rough Forged copy so I can compare it to the upcoming revised edition.

I still have Hitler's Garand also, hehe.

Could someone please post here when they go up for sale? I know I'll forget to F5 the website frequently enough if I don't see it elsewhere

I'll be keen to see what Darrin did on the SVT40 chapter. Originally he had asked me to re-write/correct it for him, I requested the original text to do so, but never got it being sent. Let's hope someone else corrected the mistakes in there.

Does anyone know if there may be "correction sheets" for those who have bought the first print?

Edit, hope this quote works and that Darrin gets to read here too to confirm what he wrote back in November 2020:
At this point I want to include an Errata page of just text in each volume before they ship. I'll mail or email the same to all of you that received a book. Let me catch my breath on the shipping and I will sit down and do a more extensive Errata pdf to be downloaded with images.

The key is to sell your old one before the new one comes out. You run a risk if there isn’t a new version, but it’s possible that it simply won’t sell if a new version comes out.

You are right, if someone wants a monetary gain. I don't plan on selling my books, I like Hitler's Garand and Rough Forged, even with some errors.

I am looking forward to the new edition, I hope someone like Absolut helped Darrin to make this edition better.

Also, the pictures came out dark in Rough Forged, I am banking on the publisher improving the images.

I don’t see any value in keeping out of date references works that have notable errors when a new version is available, but to each their own.

There is a point here, but then again, I hold on to my original copy of Kriegsmodell since it was the first book to come out, and originally it was going to be a one and done stand alone book, and I jumped on the bandwagon early on in its start, and remember waiting for like forever for it to come out!

I still have my original copy of Hitlers Garands, as well as Rough Forged...IF there are significant differences in the new edition RF, I might buy it, and then sell my old copy, it would make sense, but I find it hard to part with stuff in the collection!

This is probably what I plan on doing, I didn't even so much as open my current copy so I'd rather just have the newest version.

I am going to keep my original copies of RF and buy the revised edition when it comes out. The first edition will hold it's own value. The revised edition RF will be sold at a reasonable price when it first comes out.
