Afternoon fellas, I'm looking to start collecting some helmets, M35's M40's and M42's. I'd like to know what are some reputable sites out there that the experienced collectors would advise to either look at or not look at.

Here you go. https://frontovik.com/product-category/german-militaria-through-1945/helmets-headgear/

Sean Greene is well know as an admin on several of the FB helmet groups and I've gotten my nicest examples from him.
Just remember, you do get what you pay for. I know he's going to be at the Show of Shows this coming week and weekend, Feb. 19-23 2020, in Louisville, KY.

there are many web sites out there to avoid.. Plus most dealers prices are 2-300 $ more than what you can find out on your own. But, its learning good from bad first is the key. Buying from online dealers is no guarantee you will get a legit item either.. Buyer beware is the key when buying anything. Frank a member of GHW has his own site and news letter. Search "German helmet vault" he has the best little website and newsletter going. Now with a small forum.

He also outs the fakes and shows you who to avoid..

One of our own sells some nice helmets......

Steve is a good guy and has good stuff

You guys are far too kind. I will be listing many nice helmets including German, Canadian, and US over the next several months. You can sign up for our mailing list and will receive an e-mail when we upload the site if you want to see our new items right away. Of course if you deal with me you are allowed to post any items from my site on this forum for review or on any other forum, everything is guaranteed original or your money back.

There are of course many other good websites on the net, my advice is to stick with dealers who allow inspection periods, allow you to post their items for honest review, and guarantee their products are as advertised. There's nothing worse than having something show up that is not what you were expecting and the seller telling you there is no returns (Sadly, this still happens).

I have bought, sold, and traded helmets with many members of this site and while most were not "dealers" they were all excellent to deal with as well and most members will offer an inspection period.

Regards,
Steve
