RBN numbered K98 pouch w/o a D ring?

Has anyone ever seen a legit k98 ammo pouch w/o a d ring? This one has an RBN number. I don't recall RBN #'s being faked and a google search yields nothing.

Lots of RBN numbers are faked. Nothing about this pouch looks pre-45.
thanks. I have paid much attention to WW2 German field gear in many years and could not recall anything on bogus RBN #'s. More pics indicate that it is more a 1909 type(45 rnds per pouch) even if not German. I was just confused by the lack of D-ring.

Now that you guys mention this, I do recall another RBN # pouch that was clearly Turk. That one was on ebay.
