Hi all. I'd like some opinions on this local k43 and an approximate value. I know its not matching.
Thanks for the help.

Appears to be a Refinished mixed numbers Walther c block. The mount and bands show promise but we need specific detailed photos, those photos suck. Scope is good, it’s a late Voigtlander.

I get the pictures aren't the best. Before I went and looked at it the seller is asking 5k which I feel is a bit much for a mismatch gun. Didn't know if the scope/mount justified anything. Also comes with the manual. Didn't really want to wast their time or mine.

Value on this one is lower end. It might be shooter status, but we don’t know as we can’t see all this rifle has. If you are wanting a shooter, it might be okay with a shooter’s kit. Collector value is pretty much all gone. The finish is oddly painted, mismatched parts, sanded and polished stock with what looks like a re-stamped wrist proof.

That is NOT a $5k gun by any means.

If you provide the serial number, I might have prior history found on it. Maybe not just depends if it’s been reported or not before in the past.

Looks like serial number is 8212 c. I know the gun isn't worth the 5k. Just want to be prepared to offer them a realistic amount for a shooter grade gun. Not sure why the seller thinks its worth 5k. Just wanted to post here to see if I may have been missing something.

The seller is probably over valuing the rifle itself, then he is probably thinking the scope/mount rig carries it to $5k.

I think Tiger 2 Tank is correct. If that’s an original mount that’s about 2500 for the mount/scope rig and 2500 for the rifle. So, not completely out of line if the rifle is okay, no major distractions, and shootable. That is of course assuming the mount is original, otherwise it’s overpriced by a couple thousand dollars. It’s definitely worth more investigation. I’ll also add that there are no “cheap” G/K43s anymore unless they’re hacked to hell. Mismatched and all, this appears a far nicer and more worthwhile example than that poor hacked up [emoji3545]turd [emoji90]in the other thread. [emoji6]

shame someone had to make it pretty, that alone would make me walk away. I do not believe, there is such a thing as "Shooter G/K-43's probably why its a a mis-match, because the previous owner took it to the range w/ some turk ammo

money is better spent else where

Probably came back m/m as many of the late Walthers did. As mentioned though, it should be priced much lower for the issues. A rifle in this shape can be found for under 2k, excluding the optic of course.
