Pre-war commercial police luger...

A recent acquisition. A pre-war police luger (notice the lack of a stock lug), that very likely started as a commercial gun chambered in .30 cal. At some point in the early 20's it was acquired by the government and received the '1920' property stamp, was rebarreled in a police armory, numbered in the police/military fashion and given matching police magazines. At some point it was given a sear and magazine safety. The magazine safety was eventually removed and finished over. However, the cutout in the left grip remains. There are a couple of stamps I haven't quite figured out yet...the 'G' on the left side of the barrel extension, and what appears to be a stylized 'S' on the right side of the barrel extension. An interesting police gun.
