Possible Bringback Kar98a

A few years back I bought this 1916 Erfurt Kar98a at a local auction. It was at the start of my collecting journey and it wasn't until after I got it home that I realized it is a 100% Matching example. Then later it was not until after I shot it that I realized it was Duffel Cut. It has initials carved into the stock. It's one of the crown jewels of my collection and one of the guns that it would take a lot of money to pry from my grasp. I paid $900 with all fees and taxes.

That's a solid wartime Erfurt. They made a ton of them that year, but this one is in pretty good shape compared to the average. I agree more pictures would be great, but one thing I can see already is that this very likely had a action cover on it at one point based on the stain on the side of the stock. I've got a bunch of rifles with the same staining.

But seriously, more pictures.

I can't seem to get the pictures to work with the forum so I uploaded to Imgur. If there are any other pictures I should take let me know. The rifle is fairly accessible in my safe.

That's a very nice first rifle to break into collecting and a local pickup as well! While a common (for Imperial) rifle, I really like the action cover stains and wood on this one.
