Looking to learn more about this Polish Radom VIS 35. The left side of the slide features a WaA 77 and "F.B. RADOM VIS Mod. 35 Pat. Nr. 15567" with a firing proof and a waffenamt that I cannot make out. Possibly 825? Maybe 625? The right side of frame reads: SN: L9609 WaA 77. Please CLICK HERE for photos to reference (file size is too big for forum). The seller is asking $1,000, is this reasonable? Thank you and I look forward to learning as always!

For me, $1k is a bit higher than I would like to pay for a run of the mill Type II, but the value of these pistols have gone way up. It appears to be in decent condition. I would check to see if the barrel and slide (serial number is stamped near the firing pin channel, hidden from view when assembled) are matching. I would try and see if you would be able to negotiate for a lower price, like $800, and settle for $850/900 max?

I was planning on reaching out to you directly on Reddit this evening, but dinner plans had me distracted. As always I'm thankful for your knowledge on all things Polish.

Also check and make sure it has an original magazine in it. It should have 2 pins.in bottom of mag plus waffenamt on most. Original magazine is 150 to 250.dollars .

I don't have William York's book in front of me, so I may be mistaken, but from what I vaguely recall, Waffenamt on the magazine bottom means it was made by the Steyr satellite plant in Warsaw. Magazines produced without a waffenamt were made at FB Radom.
