Inherited an Amber 1917 and would like help identifying predigree/rarity. It is said to have belonged to my Grandfather and would like to give it a new purpose, using the action for a rebuild hunting rifle. Before I do that I want to know what I have.
The receiver and barrel have the same S/N (original?) but the rest of the S/Ns seem all over the place.
I would appreciate any help you may be willing to provide.
Thank you,
Eric
