P.38 with hardshell holster brought back by Dad

Greetings All,

I'm brand new to this forum and thought I'd post a rig that has been on several other forums. Many of you might have already seen it. My Dad disarmed a POW during the Bulge and brought this back to the States. It is an ac41, 2nd series. The mags do not match,... in fact one was scrubbed and hand stamped to match the pistol # (1533c). This was done before Dad liberated it. The grips are not original either.

....I forgot to add the holster....

The white residue on the back of the holster is from old adhesive tape dad had put on there. He labeled several items with his name for a store front window display shortly after returning from the war. It has since been carefully removed,
