Just wanted to say "Hi".
I live in Germany and I just purchased my first 98k,
It´s a "bcd 4", completely refurbished by an experienced gunsmith. Can´t wait to get out on the range for the fist shots.
Looking for any kind info on the 98k, history, modifications and accessories. Will also share my thoughts, etc.
I believe that this will not be my one and only 98k.

Best,
Jochen

Herzlich willkommen Jochen,
The first stop on your journey to the forum shall be the Picture Reference Index.
You may post pics of your rifle, but I have to say that most people here are collectors whose ideal rifle has not been "touched" since May 1945.
Don't worry if you feel the urge to get other 98ks, we got the same bug and have not found a cure yet.
See you,
G

Welcome to the best place to be for gaining knowledge. post some pics. It will probably not be your last 98k.

Hi,

just read your posts. Thanks for your welcome!
I will take some pics tonight or tomorrow. Had the chance to buy a Kahles H/4x60 and will mount it tonight. (can´t wait for the postman ;-)).
Range day will be Friday next week.

All I can say is, that it won´t defenitely be my last 98k. Honestly, I´ve found a nice one already, but no deal closed so far.
Keep you posted.

Jochen
