Third Party Press

Need input on 2 rifles.

New member here. I have 2 rifles, I purchased both of these a few years ago, both are 1944. I have a G43 and K98K both numbers matching, no import markings. I paid premium for both of these at the time, 5k for the G43 and 3k for the K98K ( please no boomer comments I didn't grow up in a time where these were 25 dollars at sears in a barrel ) just wanted to see if some can help provide a little more info on their authenticity. I appreciate anyone who chimes in.20250111_105414.jpg20250111_105459.jpg

Looks like you have an original and very nice G.43 made by Berlin Lübecker. The upper hand guard is made of Durofol, and was used extensively by duv.

Perhaps you should ask your questions on Reddit. Pretty sure you're safe from boomers over there.
I dont have a problem with boomers I just have a problem with how out of touch and their comments can be. I'm a grown a$$ person too but I refuse to be talked down upon just because a boomers time was different. But if that's a problem with you I have no problem leaving this forum or associating with it. I made that statement in my post because I have came across looking at post as a non member and I've seen plenty of unnecessary comments from boomers to new members and talking down upon them for whatever reason. But if the word "boomers" trigger you then that tells me people on here are not on thr same level.

Mike,
you may wish to repost this rifle in the G/K rifle sub forum here, or ask a mod to move the thread there. You’ll likely get better input that way. This sub-forum is for M98 bolt rifles, though the autos were made during the ‘35-‘45 period.

And honestly, what would you like us to formulate about a rifle based on 3 bad pics which tell us nothing? Take a look in the pic stickies, and see what sort of pictures you need to post for anyone to give you any sort of assessment on it...

Mike,
I'm a boomer, and no offence taken. I also dont get offended at 'cracker' or 'gringo' either...oh well.
They look to be decent guns, but as stated above, go look at a couple of pic stickies and see what kind of photos are there so you can take appropriate pics that will help folks give you a decent evaluation. There are a lot of intricacies involved in both of these, and if they are completely correct, then I'd say in todays market you didn't get stung too badly. The K98k lookks to be a 'dot' rifle, and if you post up some decent pics, there's plenty of folks here who will weigh in with their expertise.

Not getting exactly what you're meaning but OK.
If you didn't want your chops busted for overpaying, you shouldn't have dished out the prices.
Better pictures and more of them!

Not offended or triggered by the boomer comment, just curious why you think making a comment like that will inspire people to want to help you, you know, more flies with honey than vinegar. Better yet, don’t come off as a dickhead.
Anyway, as other said better pics are needed for a meaningful evaluation. But if they are righteous, and really nice, you paid about what they are worth give or take.

I like that G43 a lot! As for the K98K judging from the one picture of it I presume it's a 1943-1944 dot?

First two post from our new member Mike (welcome aboard).

Wants authenticity help from two pics on his G.43 & K98k. Implies boomers are “out of touch”, and he gets talked down to by those who bought guns outta barrels at Sears (maybe it’s more of a gun crowd thing).

Seems like more pics & a softer start would pay dividends.
