I had picked this up from a show in northern Indiana maybe 4 ish years ago. The duffel cut has a nice strong repair and it shoots like a dream (with kit of course). This was my very first 8mm rifle and really inspired me to expand my collecting into firearms. Hope y’all enjoy! -Brooks 94A47C91-E335-481A-A191-6C65540F54D8.jpegA9480BEF-6919-475C-8F75-BDF51C70C9E8.jpeg1AE74983-ED45-4ADD-9936-1C4115C036BA.jpeg1F4EA822-036D-4330-A764-DB3FB4052ADF.jpeg164B2A4C-7529-4C97-9F66-C6E3107938D6.jpeg24F62938-B994-4563-81F9-910F9AD17960.jpegA63AED47-A8C2-4B44-9C08-2B48833A4139.jpeg7C1A94DF-E67D-4B9E-9CAA-AF568018E93B.jpeg81F20882-A7DA-4E3D-AD40-D41E8275461B.jpeg36DE4564-D0FE-4872-A71B-95327347092F.jpeg

Very nice! Mine also has a duffle cut and I think it’s great to let the mind wonder that it came back in a GIs bag - fascinating. I know some people don’t like duffle cuts but my logic is I can always buy a second, non-cut rifle ha

I definitely appreciate a good duffel cut, adds some character from the GI himself. It had to get over here for us to enjoy somehow right?

Not really close at all. This rifle is a mid 1944 rifle. In the unlikely event that it was a manufactured as a sniper, it would have been relatively early and would have had an early dual number mount. Andrew was selling a late mount that was most certainly on a 1945 rifle.
