My 1st GEW98

Picked this up locally, had a k98 bolt but got replacement body from member here. All matching less bolt obviously. Nice bore. Sling in good shape with just a couple of stitches loose. I will get better pictures later.

Its got usual amount of nicks and bruises but overall really good but a little dry. Gave it a light rub down with wood wax product called "walrus oil wax" used on butchers blocks/cutting boards. Contains no petroleum base. Has to be warmed up to apply and buffed.

A JPS 1917 is a damn good first gewehr, congrats! I would love to see some more photos of it, looks to be in wonderful shape.
