Thanks guys!Here are more of matching parts..Paid 650.00 also for this one.I know a common p38 but not too common in this cond.Looks like the original mag,a vet bringback from a dealer friend,he dosent deal in these much but knows I like them.The bore looks new,probably never was fired except at the mauser factory!How would you guys grade this one?98 99%?I know thats subjective but a 100% 1943 p38 probably dosent exist.Some dealers list p38s at 98% but most dont look like it to me!

I've always been amazed at the number of minty byf 43s' I've seen as compared to others. I've always wondered why.
 
Maybe they had a problem with transport at the time,getting them to the soldiers,dont know of any documentation on it though.
