A couple years ago I decide I wanted one M24 grenade. Well.......... then I got addicted to them. So here is my small collection of M24 grenades and cases. Plus a nice WWI M17 example.

All (except one) are matching M24 examples. The first pictures shows the three variations of transit cases used during the war for M24s. The last variation which is the tan example has not internal rack. The M43 case is identical except it is marked M43.

Here is a very hard to find M24. This is a third variation with pressed threads instead of the typical machined style. Dated 1944 Fcc

Also, a nice Splitterring frag sleeve. These are also very difficult to find. Pictured with it is the more common SS smooth style frag sleeve.

These were SOS show finds this year.

What is in the little boxes in the end of the case in pic 7?

Sprengkapseln, the detonator/fuze...they were packed separate, you unscrewed the head, and inserted the detonator into a socket on the end of the stick...

The stenciling on the grenades say "Before Use, Insert Detonator"...no sprengkapseln, no boom.

Yes, detonator and fuse boxes. They were packed separately during transit and then assembled in the field before being given to soldiers. The other cases have places for them also I just haven't purchased ones for them yet.
