Loctite 638 for scope mount, like RSM suggest. Anyone actually done this?

I know the right way is soldering the scope to the rings, but has anyone built a clone HT with solid rings and used Loctite like RSM suggests?

I have a clone HT build with solid rings from accumounts and a vintage ww2 era scope, and just have second thoughts about soldering the scope to the rings. Loctite feels less permament, especially since this would be an occasional shooter.

Or just use split rings and live with the split ring look.

you might try it, what’s to lose? If the scope came loose under use, you could still solder it.
I went with split rings so I could easily upgrade scopes as I found them, & to prevent unscrupulous persons trying to pass the rifle off as real once I’m not the caretaker. Closed rings DO look better, tho.
